BiP on your desktop, inside Franz

Run BiP, Turkey's homegrown messenger from Turkcell, as a dedicated desktop service on Mac, Windows, and Linux, in Franz.

  • Windows
  • Linux

BiP is Turkey's homegrown messenger, built by Turkcell, with tens of millions of users across Turkey and the wider region. If your friends, family, or colleagues are on BiP, that is where they expect to reach you, and where your replies need to go. On a computer that usually means a browser tab that drifts to the back of the stack, kept apart from your email and work chat. Franz gives BiP a permanent home as a desktop service tab, so your conversations stay one click away in the sidebar rather than lost behind other windows.

BiP as its own desktop service

Franz loads the web.bip.com client, so your one-to-one chats, group conversations, voice and video calls, and BiP's built-in translation features are all right where you expect them. Running BiP as its own service tab keeps it signed in and isolated from the rest of your browsing, so a busy browser never buries the chat that needs you and a tab cleanup never logs you out. You sign in once and BiP stays ready the moment you switch to it.

Unread counts and pings you can see

A messenger is only useful when you notice the message meant for you. Franz reads BiP's unread badge and surfaces the count on the service in your sidebar, so you can tell at a glance how many conversations are waiting. Because BiP runs as its own tab, its notifications keep reaching you reliably while you are focused on another service, and the notification sound makes sure an incoming message or call is hard to miss.

BiP alongside the rest of your day

Franz is a native desktop app for macOS, Windows, and Linux, so BiP behaves the same wherever you are, with a real dock or taskbar presence and a fast shortcut to your other conversations. Instead of splitting your attention across a phone, a browser tab, and your other apps, you keep BiP beside Gmail, Slack, and everything else in a single window.

Frequently asked questions

Which platforms does BiP work on in Franz?

Franz runs BiP as a native desktop app on macOS, Windows, and Linux, with the same notifications, badges, and fast switching on every operating system.

Can I use multiple BiP accounts at once?

Yes. Franz lets you add BiP as many times as you need, one tab per account, all signed in at once. Each tab keeps its own session and unread badge, so you never sign out of one to check another.

Is BiP in Franz free?

Franz is free to use with BiP and every other service. A free account covers the essentials and takes minutes to set up; paid plans add extra features, but running BiP in Franz costs nothing to start.
