Franz loads the web.bip.com client, so your one-to-one chats, group conversations, voice and video calls, and BiP's built-in translation features are all right where you expect them. Running BiP as its own service tab keeps it signed in and isolated from the rest of your browsing, so a busy browser never buries the chat that needs you and a tab cleanup never logs you out. You sign in once and BiP stays ready the moment you switch to it.

Unread counts and pings you can see

A messenger is only useful when you notice the message meant for you. Franz reads BiP's unread badge and surfaces the count on the service in your sidebar, so you can tell at a glance how many conversations are waiting. Because BiP runs as its own tab, its notifications keep reaching you reliably while you are focused on another service, and the notification sound makes sure an incoming message or call is hard to miss.

Franz is a native desktop app for macOS, Windows, and Linux, so BiP behaves the same wherever you are, with a real dock or taskbar presence and a fast shortcut to your other conversations.
