Franz Sub-processors

To support Franz in delivering its Services, Franz may engage third-party service providers to assist Franz with its data processing activities. When we work with these service providers in our capacity as a data processor, the third-party service provider is a sub-processor of Franz ("Sub-processor").
This page identifies the Sub-processors, describes where they are located, and what services they provide to us.
Franz is currently using the following Sub-processors:

Error monitoring runs on GlitchTip, which we self-host on Hetzner in Germany alongside Umami. GlitchTip is therefore not a separate third-party sub-processor.
Removed in Franz 6
The following sub-processors were part of the Franz 5 stack and are no longer used in Franz 6:
- Google Analytics — replaced by self-hosted Umami on Hetzner.
- Customer.io — marketing automation is no longer used.
- Facebook Pixel — conversion tracking is no longer used.
Recurly has not been fully dropped: new subscriptions go through Stripe, but customers who subscribed before the Stripe migration remain on Recurly for the lifetime of their subscription. Recurly continues to act as our billing processor for those grandfathered subscriptions, including ongoing operations such as seat quantity updates, scheduled plan changes, and renewal processing.
Our business needs may change from time to time. For example, we may deprecate a Sub-processor to consolidate and minimize our use of Sub-processors. Similarly, we may add a Sub-processor if we believe that doing so will enhance our ability to deliver our Services. We will update this page to reflect additions and removals to our list of Sub-processors.
