Reset your Franz password

If your Franz account password no longer works, request a new one from the password reset page. Enter the email address for your Franz account and select Send reset link. For your security Franz always shows the same confirmation, so check the inbox for that address even when you are unsure it has an account.

Open your email and look for the reset message. If it has not arrived, check spam, promotions, and any rules that file automated mail. When you request a reset more than once, use the newest message: a later request can replace an earlier link, so older links may stop working.

The link opens the Set a new password page. Enter a New password of at least 12 characters, repeat it under Confirm password, and select Set new password. Franz confirms with Password updated, and the new password works right away.

If the page reports that the link is invalid or has expired, request a fresh one from the same page. After several attempts in a short time, Franz asks you to wait a moment before trying again.

Once the password is updated, sign in with it. Devices that are already signed in keep working until their session refreshes; when they ask you to sign in again, use the new password. Services inside Franz, such as Google or Slack, keep their own separate logins and are not affected.
