Sign in to your Franz account

Sign in with the email address and password that belong to your Franz account. This is separate from any service login such as Google, Slack, Discord, or WhatsApp, so if your password manager offers several saved entries, pick the one for Franz rather than for a service.

In the desktop app, open Settings → Account and select Sign in. Enter your email and password, then select Sign in again. You can also sign in on the web at the sign-in page, where Continue with Google and Continue with Microsoft are offered if you created your account that way.

If your account state looks stale after the app opens, give it a moment to refresh, then reload Franz or quit and reopen it. Sleep and wake, a network change, or a recently changed password can leave an old session in memory until the app refreshes it.

When sign-in still fails, type the email address manually once to rule out an outdated saved login, and check for stray spaces when pasting. Franz reports Those credentials did not match an account when the email and password do not match. If the password is not accepted, reset it rather than retrying saved passwords.

After you sign in, Franz syncs your account-level setup again. Service windows may still ask for their own third-party login, because those sessions belong to the service, not to your Franz account.
