Pro vs Max

Pro Cloud is now Max: if you subscribed to Pro Cloud, you're already on Max at your price. If you subscribed to Pro before the Max launch, you keep every feature you had at your price, plus what new Pro gets. What happened to Pro Cloud has the details, including Lifetime. Both paid plans unlock unlimited services and unlimited workspaces. They differ in what Franz does with a reply for you, and in who runs the AI. Current prices for both, monthly and annual, are on the plan selection page.

Pro

Pro is the complete daily workspace: every chat, mail and workspace in one window, no limit on services or workspaces, plus Franz Mail and Todos, Privacy Shield, app lock, a proxy per service and self-hosted services.

Plain snippets are part of Pro: save a reply once, it syncs with your account, and you paste it in exactly as you wrote it. A plain snippet never touches a model.

Smart Translate, the assistant, drafting and summaries run on any supported model you've configured: your own key with a provider, e.g. OpenAI or Anthropic, or a local model with Ollama or LM Studio. Your provider bills you for what it uses, not Franz.

On the platforms that support them, Pro includes 1Password autofill (macOS and Windows direct downloads, not the Mac App Store build) and dictation (a Mac on macOS 26 or later with Apple Silicon).

Choose Pro if you already have a provider account or a local model, and the replies you send again and again are the same every time.

Max

Max is everything in Pro, plus the reply drafted for you. A smart snippet takes the same saved reply, fills in the person, topic and date from the open conversation and shows you a preview before anything is inserted.

Max also includes sender intelligence on its supported surfaces, and Franz Cloud AI: 5M tokens a month of managed inference from EU infrastructure with zero retention, plus 50 hosted research runs a month. Nothing to set up. Your own model works too.

Choose Max if you want the reply drafted for you and one bill for Franz and the AI behind it.

Switching tiers

Review or change your plan on the billing page in your Franz profile. It shows renewal timing and any prorated change before you confirm.
