Use Telegram cloud password and proxy settings
Sign in to Telegram in Franz with QR, phone, cloud password, or proxy settings, and handle networks where Telegram traffic is blocked or filtered.
Back to SupportTelegram can sign in through a QR code or a phone number. If you use QR login, open Telegram on your phone, choose the linked devices option, and scan the code shown in Franz. If you use phone login, enter the code Telegram sends to your account.
Accounts with two-step verification also require the Telegram cloud password. This is the password you set inside Telegram, separate from the one-time login code. If you do not remember it, follow Telegram's recovery flow from an already signed-in device.
On restricted networks, Telegram may fail to connect after login or may never show the QR code. Check whether your network blocks Telegram traffic. If your organization or region requires a proxy, configure the proxy inside Telegram's own connection settings when the option is shown.
If the connection is unreliable, test the same Telegram account on your phone and in a normal browser on the same network. That helps separate Franz service state from a network rule, regional block, or account-level Telegram setting.
