Account sessions and service logouts
Understand the difference between your Franz account session and third-party service logins when apps ask you to sign in again later safely.
Back to SupportAccount sessions and service logouts
Your Franz account session and the sessions inside individual services are separate. Signing in to Franz restores your account-level setup, such as services and workspaces. Signing in to a service, such as Slack, Gmail, Discord, or WhatsApp, is handled by that service in its own web session.
It is normal for a service to ask you to sign in again after a password change, multi-factor challenge, long idle period, cookie expiry, or provider-side security check. Franz cannot prevent those safety checks because they are controlled by the third-party service.
Sleep and wake can also interrupt a service connection. If a service looks disconnected after your computer wakes, reload that service first. If the provider shows a sign-in screen, complete the provider login again. This does not mean your Franz account was signed out.
Clearing cache or removing local website data can also remove service cookies. Use those actions only when you are troubleshooting a broken service session and expect to sign in again afterward. Your Franz account setup should return through sync, while service authentication may need to be recreated separately.
