Change your password in the app

When you are signed in to your Franz account, you can change its password without leaving the desktop app. Open Settings → Account. With your account signed in, select Change Password next to your account email.

The Change Password dialog asks for three fields. Enter your Current Password, then a New Password, and repeat it under Confirm New Password. The new password must be at least 12 characters, and a strength meter under the new-password field updates as you type.

Select Change Password to save. Franz confirms with Password changed successfully. If the current password is wrong, it shows Current password is incorrect; if the two new entries differ, it shows Passwords do not match. Select Cancel to close the dialog without changing anything.

If you do not remember your current password, you cannot change it here. Use the password reset page instead to set a new one by email, then sign in with it.

Changing your password here updates only your Franz account. Services you use inside Franz, such as Google or Slack, keep their own separate logins and are not affected.
