Trial and renewal

Some paid Franz plans can start with a trial. During the trial, the profile billing page shows the active plan, the trial state, and the date when the subscription is scheduled to renew.

Where to check your trial

Open your Franz profile and go to the billing section. The page shows whether your account is on a trial, which plan is active, and the next renewal date. If you started a trial from the website, use the same Franz account in the desktop app so the entitlement can sync correctly.

What happens when the trial ends

If billing details are already attached to the subscription, the plan renews automatically when the trial ends. The renewal date shown in the billing section is the date to use when planning changes.

If the subscription still needs billing details, Franz may ask you to finish the checkout flow before paid access can continue. Follow the billing page prompts instead of starting a second subscription with another account.

Cancel before renewal

You can cancel before the renewal date from the profile billing page. Open the billing management flow, review the subscription shown there, and confirm cancellation. After cancellation, the billing page reflects the updated state and shows when paid access is expected to end.

For team subscriptions, the owner should make billing changes and review seats from team management so seats and renewal state stay aligned for the whole team.
